Fantomex supports The League of Women Voters of Catawba County (lwvcv.org/): a non-partisan organization affiliated with the National League of Women Voters and the North Carolina League of Women Voters, made up of individuals of all races, gender and age living Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties.
Voting is one of the very most important things in our country right now. If it wasn’t so important, and you thought your vote didn’t matter, then they wouldn’t be trying so hard to block it. From the words of Marian Wright Edelman, “Democracy is not a spectator sport.” Please go vote. Please help and encourage those who might have difficulty or apathy when it comes to voting.

Fantømex is a Western North Carolina band that was conceived in the summer of 2017 when guitarist Isaac Crouch and longtime friend and drummer Edwin Mericle, decided to stop being just a part of other peoples’ bands and form one that was creatively their own. Having gone to high school together and been in two previous bands together, the two best buds had no problems writing music together. Vocalist Abigail Taylor came into the mix, writing intense thought-provoking lyrics, whose counter rhythms meshed with that of the music in a unique way. Not long after, Max Miller joined Fantømex and made the band whole with his punchy, fast bass lines and his ever flowing imaginative songwriting abilities. Influenced by post-hardcore bands like At the Drive-In, mewithoutYou and Frodus, Fantømex’s music is fast, loud and full of angsty female empowerment. Fantømex’s live shows are a hypnotic and high energy performance that borders on theatrical. They are a performance not to be missed.
