What a time to be alive, huh? In such a world where there is so much pain, inequality, and disaster, are we doing absolutely everything to ensure a better future? To make damn sure that this mess is going to be cleaned up, sooner rather than later? Because someone will have to eventually clean this whole place up, or there won't even be a place to clean anymore. Voting seems like such a routine and underwhelming exercise, but within the guard rails of our democratic system, it is the most powerful tool we have to make our voices and opinions heard and counted. If you are in a position where you feel like you can leave this election to chance, then please recognize how truly blessed you are and use your privilege to benefit the many that are hurting, dying, and in need. There are way too many people who physically and mentally can't afford to leave this election to chance, so vote. And if voting doesn't quench your patriotic thirst, get involved with one or all of the great grassroots organizations out there, invest in your own community. Our actions have consequences, as well do our inactions.
